No, I’m not talking about the Corvettes.

Going to visit my girlfriend in Bowling Green, KY next weekend for Valentines Day, and she has informed me that she’s taking me to the Corvette Museum! If some good ol’ ‘Murican V8 power doesn’t spell love, then I don’t know what does.

While you’re there, I highly recommend taking a tour to the Bowling Green Kentucky plant. Very cool, especially if you’re a Corvette freak like I am.

As for the museum, it is cool, but its WAY smaller than you think it’ll be.

I booked the tour right after making this post. haha Considering paying the $45 to do the “Touring Laps” of the NCM Motorsports Park in my FR-S too.

Yeah, I’ve heard that about the size of the museum.

I know how you feel. For Christmas, my girl got me laps at a track on a performance vehicle of my choice. I don’t know if they’re just accepting us as we are or if they genuinely want to encourage our auto-enthusiasms, but either way we shouldn’t complain.

Buy that woman a Miata!

Before we were together my girlfriend had a manual RX-8, but her little sister totaled it before we met. She then got a Fiesta, which was re-ended and totaled, and is temporarily driving her sister’s Civic. She will be getting a new car this month or next, and wants either another Fiestaor a Veloster. Unfortunately I can’t persuade her to go for a FiST. haha I’m cool with either the Fiesta or Veloster, and will also have her check out a Mazda3.

I’m curious how much they restrict your driving in the “Touring Laps.” The description says that it’s done at “average highway speeds,” which is a fairly relative term. lol Four laps for $45 isn’t too bad, even if they do enforce a speed limit of sorts.

If my girlfriend and I aren’t in Paris the 2nd week of April, going either the 1st or 2nd week, then I might go do a track day there too.

We made a stop on our way back to NJ from Memphis. It served two purposes, 1. It got us out of the car for a bit, 2. it helped us avoid Virginia.

Both were worthwhile.

AAA discount, so make sure to get that. Tour the plant if you can, I found that equally fun.

She already bought the tickets for the museum, so not sure if she got the AAA discount or not. Just booked our tickets for the tour.

Also, why would you want to avoid Virginia?! It’s a beautiful state, with some very cool places/drives. Harpers Ferry is an awesome location to visit.

It’s an intense track, they probably keep speeds fairly low. I was there for a three day event, and it wasn’t until the last day that I felt I had a good idea of where I was going at all times. 23 turns in 3 miles keeps you on your toes.

Sweet! You won’t regret it. That would be pretty cool as well. No idea on Anything to do with the track, but for $45, can’t be bad at all.

I figured, but I just wanted to mention it.
